Rudi Kothe is a seasoned professional in the field of high-end audio, with an impressive career spanning 35+ years, that began in the 1980s when he established his first store and exclusive showroom. Rudi later expanded his operations by moving to a store front in Mamaroneck, NY, and giving birth to Definitive HiFi. He became David Wilson's first dealer in the Northeast and sold the original WATT speakers designed by the audio pioneer. Rudi introduced Krell reference electronics to his lineup and grew his customer base with exceptional audio equipment and a selection of coveted, collectible records.
Rudi's commitment to customer satisfaction and expertise in turntable setups and speaker demonstrations garnered a devoted following. Rudi hosted monthly events that offered an opportunity for loyal patrons and first-time visitors to engage in lively discussions about the newest products from brands such as Wilson Audio, Jadis, Krell, VPI, Rega, Oracle and Vandersteen Audio. In 1987, Rudi represented Wilson Audio at the New York Stereophile show, showcasing WATT speakers, complemented by the Entec L2f20 subwoofers.
