This Porsche already had the looks and performance to turn heads, but when it came to in-cabin tech and sound quality, it was stuck in the past. The factory audio system was underwhelming, and the lack of a modern radio left the driver without the convenience and connectivity that today’s driving experience demands.
To bring this ride up to speed, we started by integrating an Alpine iLX-W650 digital media receiver, giving the dash a sleek, modern look with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and touchscreen controls. Using a Metra dash kit, we seamlessly relocated the A/C controls to make room for the new head unit while maintaining full functionality and a factory-style fit.
Under the hood—literally—we rebuilt the false floor in the front trunk to discreetly house a JL Audio XD1000/5 amplifier. This powerful yet compact amp drives a full JL Audio speaker setup:
C2650 component speakers up front for rich clarity and imaging
C2525 coaxial speakers in the rear for balanced fill
Two 10TW3 thin subwoofers for deep, responsive bass without sacrificing cargo space
