The Connected Heart of a Modern 2-Channel Audio System
The new McIntosh CS7500 2-Channel Streaming Preamplifier brings together sophisticated analog preamplification, high resolution digital conversion, and advanced network streaming in a single component designed to become the centerpiece of a modern high performance stereo system.
For listeners who want the flexibility of today's digital music services without giving up the connectivity and character of a dedicated McIntosh preamplifier, the CS7500 provides an elegant solution. It combines a premium 2 channel preamplifier and network music streamer with McIntosh's unmistakable design.

High-Resolution Digital Audio
At the heart of the CS7500 is a Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit DAC designed to deliver detailed, transparent digital playback. The CS7500 supports high-resolution sources through its digital inputs, including USB playback up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM, along with native DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256 and DXD playback. Coaxial and optical inputs support signals up to 24-bit/192kHz. For digital music collections, computer audio, network streaming and high-resolution services, the CS7500 provides a sophisticated digital front end without requiring a separate streamer and DAC.
Analog Sources and Vinyl
Digital isn't the only focus. The CS7500 includes two balanced analog inputs, three unbalanced analog inputs, and a dedicated phono input configurable for either Moving Magnet or Moving Coil cartridges. Phono gain can be selected from 40dB through 64dB, providing flexibility for a wide range of turntable cartridges. That makes the CS7500 an especially versatile choice for listeners who want to combine vinyl, digital music, streaming, and traditional analog components in one high-end stereo system.
HDMI ARC for High-End TV Audio
The CS7500 also brings your television into the 2-channel system through HDMI ARC.
Connect a compatible TV and enjoy movies, television and other programming through your dedicated stereo system rather than relying on built-in TV speakers or a conventional soundbar. Dolby and DTS multichannel formats can be converted to two-channel audio for playback through your stereo system.

Everything Connects
The CS7500 is designed to bring virtually every source in your stereo system together. Built-in support includes Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, and Google Cast, while Roon users can take advantage of both Roon Ready and Roon Tested certification. Direct Connect support allows compatible streaming services to communicate directly with the CS7500 rather than relying on your phone or tablet as the audio source. The result is a simpler, more direct way to access your favorite music while maintaining the performance expected from a McIntosh audio system.

Flexible Outputs for a Complete System
The CS7500 provides multiple balanced and unbalanced outputs, making it easy to integrate with a variety of power amplifiers and system configurations. Its second set of outputs can also be used for low-frequency reinforcement, supporting either a single subwoofer or a pair of stereo subwoofers. This gives you the flexibility to build a full-range 2-channel system with dedicated bass management and amplification.
